Tap the menu in the upper right of the home screen and select “Wallet”, which opens up the “My Wallet” screen. Here you can receive or send Bitcoin, check your balances, and view history. We offer two options for bitcoin transfers 1) directly from an external wallet, which is known as on-chain, and 2) transfers using the Lightning Network. On-chain transactions are better for large amounts over $100 or so. Smaller amounts, especially under $15, are best suited to the Lightning Network.

When using the Lightning Network, you must specify the amount you wish to receive and the sender approves the transaction. For on-chain transactions, the process is reversed as the sender specifies the amount to send. Once you’ve successfully received Bitcoin, make sure to write down your seed phrase. It’s needed to recover your funds. If you lose your phone and don’t have the seed phrase your Bitcoin is lost forever. To access the seed phrase, tap the menu in the upper right of the home screen and select “Settings”, which opens up a new menu, then tap “Review” and select “Seed Phrase” and the twelve-word list is shown. Copy this down and keep it in a safe space, ideally not saved somewhere else on your phone.

There are many exchanges and even wallets that allow you to buy Bitcoin in your local currency. Better yet, start a group, host an event, and earn bitcoin yourself.

When sending payments, for both on-chain transfers and when using the Lightning Network, the first step is to enter a valid Bitcoin address. It’s easiest to either paste a copied address or use the QR code scanner. It is possible to type in the address but be careful, bitcoin transfers are permanent and can’t be reversed. Polls can be created in both news groups and chat groups. In the message bar, tap the plus icon ‘+’ and several options appear. Choose the last one, “Create poll” to get started. We only have room for two options at this point. That just means you get to create more polls! The default length of a poll is one day, but you can change to whatever is best for your group.

We have four emojis for use, you can describe them yourself! 🙂 😛 😐 😀

Leaders can set up news groups for wider distribution. Anyone can add reactions or vote in polls, but no comments are permitted.

The event might be on hold, many times hosts will promote an event with a “Save the date” to let people know of upcoming events. Other times, a host will close sign-ups prior to the event, as there might be needed efforts to ensure all goes to plan.

We want all events to be well attended and full of energy, so each event needs to be created one by one. The process of copying an event is super easy. Open the event that you wish to copy, next tap the menu at the top right and select copy. Enter the new information. We recommend that you change the main image to keep the information fresh. Enter the new date and time and everything is done.
